Garnet™ bears abundant crops of large, reddish-bronze, sweet and very flavorful berries. You will find Garnet full of fragrant flowers in the spring followed by an excellent fruit set that is both delicious and healthy. The taste is similar to a Goumi Berry or Silverberry which would make sense as they are of the same genus -Elaeagnus. Although it can be invasive in the eastern United States it is not the case in the PNW, it only adds to the landscape here, bolstering deficient soils and acting as a nitrogen fixer boosting yields in orchards by up to 10%!
